About Event:

Step back into one of history’s most defining moments through the voices of those who lived it.

Join us for a powerful and moving talk that brings to life the experiences of the 2nd Battalion, Royal Warwickshire Regiment during the Normandy Campaign of 1944. Told through the words of the soldiers themselves, this event features family members of the veterans, sharing deeply personal stories, diary extracts, and firsthand accounts of courage under fire.

From the chaos of D-Day, 6th June 1944, to the brutal fighting that followed, this talk will guide you through the battalion’s journey across Normandy, including:

· The intense fighting at Lebisey

· The regiments role at Pegasus Bridge

· The fierce combat of Operation Charnwood & Operation Goodwood

· The relentless struggle through the Bocage countryside

Hear the human side of history—stories of resilience, sacrifice, camaraderie, and heroism—told by those who carry these legacies forward.

This is more than a history talk. It’s a tribute. A remembrance. A rare opportunity to connect with the past through authentic voices and lived experience.

Don’t miss this unforgettable journey into Normandy 1944.
