Friends of the Museum

What is the Society?
The Friends of the Fusiliers’ Museum (Royal Warwickshire) is a registered charitable trust formed in 2001. It is independent of any governing body.

What are the Friends aims?

  • To promote, support, assist and improve the Royal Regiment of Fusiliers’ Museum (Royal Warwickshire).
  • To create worldwide interest in the museum and the ‘living’ regiment.
  • To improve public awareness of the museum and to stimulate positive public relations.
  • To forge improved links with the local community, business, educational and civic organisations.

The societies income is used to support the museum in any way possible including helping to buy important relics and research material. However, it should be emphasized that the ‘Friends of the Museum’ is not primarily a fund raising organisation but a group of people interested in helping to promote the fortunes of the museum.

What are the benefits of membership?
The prime benefit of membership lies in the knowledge that your subscription helps to sustain the traditions of the regiment today by caring for the relics of its historic past. In addition Friends will receive annual Newsletters and automatic invitations to functions and events held by the society.

How much will it cost?
The minimum subscription for the various categories of membership are fixed by the Friends at their Annual Meeting. Members who are UK residents are encouraged to subscribe by Gift Aid.

  • Individual: £7.50 per annum
  • Family: £12.00 per annum
  • Institutional: £15.00 per annum
